| Our Mission We are a clearing house and "national" registry for "Muslim Marriages and Divorces, where masajid and individual Muslims and Muslim organizations and legal systems can [1] verify the existence or non-existence of an 'authentic' Muslim Marriage or [2] authentic Muslim Divorce or [3] verify an individual Muslim's 'lawfulness or legitimacy for a lawful Muslim marriage by registering or acquiring records of all "Muslim Marriage [nikah] and Muslim Divorce [talaq] in United States" and compiling that data in a secure system which we can retrieve and use to the benefit of Muslims worldwide. This is especially important to prevent fraud in marriage and prevent people from having 'inlawful and fake' Islamic wedding ceremonies with intent to mislead, especially wjhen there have been incident where more than one Muslim thought themselves married to the same person at the same time. There have been Murder and mahem in our community over such things. In one large city one brother killed another over 'their' wife. The sister, we are told went through a marriage ceremony with two different brothers both being unaware of the other. She used a ruse to spend days with one and nights with the other until this was discovered. It ended in death of one of the brothers. Then there were incident of sisters getting sizable dowers, marrying brothers and moving to other parts of the USA and within months disappearing from brothers homes with all furnishing, clothing, bank accounts and goods, never to be heard from again. We know our goal, short and long term is a huge one but we are determined and will continue to overcome the odds and work to make our Islamic communities more sophisticated, technologically astute and move into the 21th century. To combine Muslim Vital Records, from throughout continental United States, into a central location as a means to prevent impermissible approaches and invitations, fraud in marriage and divorce, advocate for social justice and promote authentic Islam and Muslim Unity |
